We're taking the plunge. By we I mean me and my two children. And by plunge, I mean, we're finally going to be growing San Marzano tomatoes from seed. I'm going to document the process from Day 1 through making our own fresh sauce using the tomatoes we harvest.
We are going to be growing the plants in a pot. Not in the ground.
On Day 1 we planted these seeds:
We used a Jiffy seed incubator (mini greenhouse).
These pods will serve as the soil for the seeds to sprout. Once there are leaves on the plants we will transfer them into 5 gallon pots/pails.
Keep indoors and in sunlight. We're hoping to see sprouting soon!
